Faculty Senate serves as the official representative body of the faculty and the link between faculty and administration. The senate reviews and recommends policies and procedures, which are then compiled in the Faculty Manual. For over fifty years, the Faculty Senate has participated in a variety of initiatives to improve the status of the faculty of Clemson University.

Senate Information
The Faculty Senate leaders are Jan Holmevik (President), Danny Weathers (Vice President/President-Elect), and Matthew Macauley (Secretary).
Senate terms begins with the April meeting. The Senate consists of 50 members — 35 full-time, tenure-track faculty and 14 non-voting, lecturer delegates. These elected representatives are expected to fulfill certain responsibilities.

2018-19 Senate Meetings
The Faculty Senate meets once a month on the second Tuesday of each month, except August* and November* (of this election year). Meetings begin at 2:30 p.m., and are located in 118 Academic Success Center.Other related faculty meetings include, per the Faculty Manual, three annual General Faculty meetings.
