The senate reviews and recommends policies and procedures, which are then compiled in the <a href=\"http:\/\/facultysenate.wpengine.com\/?page_id=89\">Faculty Manual<\/a>. For over fifty years, the Faculty Senate has participated in a variety of initiatives to improve the status of the faculty of Clemson University.<\/p>\n<p>A history of the Faculty Senate may be found in <a href=\"http:\/\/facultysenate.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/about\/Updated-Faculty-Senate-History-Brochure-July-2016.pdf\">\u201cClemson University Faculty Senate: Over Sixty Years of Service.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For faculty policies affecting all Clemson Faculty, see <a href=\"http:\/\/facultysenate.wpengine.com\/?page_id=263\">Faculty Policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Senate Information<\/h2>\n<p>The Faculty Senate leaders are <strong>Jan Holmevik<\/strong>\u00a0(President), <strong>Danny Weathers<\/strong>\u00a0(Vice President\/President-Elect), and <strong>Matthew Macauley<\/strong>\u00a0(Secretary).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/facultysenate.wpengine.com\/?page_id=47\">President\u2019s reports to the Senate, all faculty, and the Board of Trustees<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Senate terms begins with the April meeting. The Senate consists of 50 members \u2014 35 full-time, tenure-track faculty and 14 non-voting, lecturer delegates. Meetings begin at 2:30 p.m., and are located in 118 Academic Success Center.Other related faculty meetings include, per the Faculty Manual, three annual General Faculty meetings.
